Set amongst nine acres of landscaped grounds, Meadowbank is located in a quiet, leafy, no exit street. We have a train station and bus stop a short walking distance away. Our new apartments are of extremely high quality. They exude a feeling of inner city apartment living while still having a community atmosphere that comes with village life.
Emergency or other health related support, visits from the podiatrist, hairdresser, meals, and our mobile library visits fortnightly.
Our programme is developed monthly and is based on consulation with residents. Regular events are happy hour, quiz night, tai chi, physio programme, movie nights, bus trips to local shops, and one special event each month, for example; mystery trips and winery visits.
We are close to the Meadowbank shops and train station, and only 2 stops to Britomart. There’s also a bus stop just up the road. At the end of the road is a café, dairy and a hairdresser. We are right next door to the Orakei bush walkway - very popular in the summer months, and walking groups get together at Meadowbank.
Some apartments have extensive views over Auckland. All apartments have patio/balconies, some being all-weather enclosed. Standard fitouts include heat pumps, and modern kitchens with plenty of storage. The master bedroom has full ensuite with walk-in wardrobe. Two bedroom units have a second toilet for guests.
We have a 24hour nurse call system if help is needed.
There are seven apartments on each floor with a well furnished communal lounge on each floor for your use. Added to this, we have a large community centre which is the hub of the village. We offer all kitchen amenities, dining area, sports area, lounge and TV area. This facility can be used privately as well.

Before joining our team at Oceania, Sharon worked for a community trust for 16 years. A definite people person, her personality and business knowledge make her perfect for her role. Sharon is also passionate about the elderly, and advocating for those who need support. Sharon lives with her husband and has two grown up daughters, and three grandchildren. During her free time she enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and drinking good, strong coffees.
"I wish I had moved to the village much sooner than I did because the companionship is here when needed. The activity program has grown from strength to strength over the last two years. The location is excellent and the village has property to suit everyone's budget."
"I really welcomed the newsletters and the meetings with the Registered Nurse to set Mum’s care plan in place."
"The friendly environment is very comforting. I value my own space, which I have at the village, but there is also always a resident to have a cuppa and a chat with when needed."
"The advantage of having rest home and hospital care (on site) played a huge part in our buying."
"I am surrounded by lovely gardens and friends and neighbours. It is a great comfort, you never need to feel alone and I know I only have to press a bell if I need help."
"On the first day several residents popped in with muffins or small bunches of flowers to make sure Mum felt welcome. It was not long before she knew someone who knew someone and indeed knew some of the residents directly. It was a big move for Mum and she has settled really well thanks to the team."
"To me, the security and peace of mind are very comforting. Also, my husband lives in the hospital so I can spend as much time as I want with him. The newly refurbished community centre is becoming the hub of the village."
