Atawhai Care

Our Care offering

With a warm, welcoming and family-friendly environment, our focus at Atawhai is making residents feel valued through a highly personalised approach to care.

At Atawhai, we offer a choice of both Standard Rooms and Care Suites, which means no matter your needs or budget, there are plenty of options.
Care Suites are designed to give you more flexibility, plus that little bit of luxury you deserve. Both Rest Home and Hospital care can be provided in your Care Suite, which means you can relax knowing you won’t have the upheaval of moving again if your needs increase.
Your Care Suite is designed to be your forever home, so you’ll be able to stay in the same familiar place, with your friends around you and the staff who know you best caring for you. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A DHB assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

All Care Suites have a heat pump and full en-suite, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit.

Hop in the village van for a jaunt, you'll never know where it will take you next. Ice cream at Marine Parade or off to soak up the scenery at Bluff Hill - there's an exciting new destination every week. Or if it's music you're into, enjoy your own personalised playlist with our award-winning I Love Music programme.

Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings… there’s a reason why the dining room is full before dinner! All of the above are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty family favourites you’d make at home. You’ll be sure to be up for second helpings!
