Awatere Care

Formerly Trevellyn

A brand new, luxury facility is due to be completed in July 2019. This will feature spacious Care Suites for Rest Home and Hospital level care.

Our Care Offering

Awatere has a warm, relaxed ambience, with friendly staff who offer excellent care to our residents. Our nurses are trained in palliative care and receive continuing education to keep up with new developments in the clinical field.

We provide a high level of care that reflects our residents’ individuality and their right to choice, respect and dignity. Our caregiving staff value and recognise each other’s contribution to the team as a whole. We encourage feedback and are continually thinking of ways to improve what we do and add value to our residents’ lives.

Our activities programme includes exercise sessions, discussion groups, boccia, bingo, outings and quizzes. Activities are supervised by a full time qualified Diversional Therapist and a monthly newsletter keeps residents up-to-date with what’s happening.

We also offer a range of special events to suit the tastes of most of our residents, including weekly entertainment by visiting musicians and regular country tours in our bus.
