Eden Care

Our Care offering

Eden Rest Home and Village is the ‘new kid on the block’ situated in the heart of Auckland’s historical Mt Eden Village. A new purpose built village with facilities second to none, we pride ourselves on being the best option in luxury Retirement Living and Aged Care.

All of the staff at Eden have been handpicked for their gentle nature and kind hearts, all contributing to the welcoming and warm atmosphere. We are completely resident focused and encourage choice above all else. With activities staff, and a chef led kitchen, there is always someone on hand to attend to any need or desire our residents may have.

The Care Suites are like no other, some offering a separate bedroom and living space, all offer a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, full en suite bathroom, balcony, heat pump, window furnishings, over tinted and double glazed windows, and an electric bed with a selection of ergonomically correct furniture for the elderly. At 2 – 4 times the size of a standard rest home and hospital room, residents feel quite at home in their suites. With a restaurant, café, licensed bar, retail store and cinema, we have gone the extra mile to ensure the amenities you need are on hand.

Activities Programme

Eden provides weekly and monthly programmes to cater for all needs. Culinary themed evenings - like The Great Gatsby, quiz evening, funology mornings along with Works of Art to name a few. We offer bus outings each week and entertainment that comes to us. We enjoy the community spirit with schools visiting and singing to residents. Our Sunday church service has become a nice social morning with a shared cup of tea afterwards. We also have a hobby room, pool table and regular movies on our big screen.

What’s Near By

Here in Mt Eden we are fortunate to have so much, close by. Mt Eden shops, swimming complex, local schools and churches along with motels for families who live out of Auckland. The local RSA memorial hall is down Dominion Road, which offers the Senior Net courses. St Luke’s shopping Centre is available for some serious retail therapy and a trip to the top of Mt Eden gives splendid views of the suburb and across Auckland city - which is just a short bus trip away. We have a special bond with Eden Gardens who offer free admission to our residents. Eden Village is centrally located, meaning a trip north or south is possible on our special bus excursions.
