Our Care Offering

Situated on the outskirts of Pukekohe township and surrounded by large gardens, in a lovely rural area, we offer quality hospital and specialist dementia care in a tranquil setting.


Franklin is known for its homely atmosphere and friendly staff. All meals are cooked on site including home baking. Our cooks offer choices to cater for all residents’ needs.


We have a busy activities programme with regular outings and entertainment. Our activity plans cater for the individual, and we welcome family input and participation.


Activities Programme

Our comprehensive activities programme includes exercise, craft activities, outings - including RSA lunches and memory trips, live music and entertainment, games and quizzes, gardening club, movie afternoons, old time dancing in Waiuku, housie (a big favourite), fancy dress parties and visits from the students at Parkside school – residents enjoy the interaction with the students who work with them doing crafts and activities twice weekly

    Susan has worked with Oceania since 2004 in a number of positions including regional support for 13 facilities. With many years of experience in Aged Care, and a background in banking and legal administration, Susan brings a range of skills to her role as Business and Care Manager. She is a local, having lived in Pukekohe for all of her married life. She and husband Kevin have three children, and in her own time Susan enjoys knitting, reading and spending time with family.

    Julie is our lovely English administrator who came to New Zealand in 2006. Previously she had been working as a Healthcare Assistant and transitioned into her current role when an opportunity arose. Julie loves working with the elderly, being able to support and care for the residents. In her spare time she enjoys having her grand children around her and listening to music.
