Melrose Care

Our Care Offering

Melrose was the first retirement facility to be built in Tauranga. It is located in an enviable position over-looking the harbour. We have more than 15 acres of park like grounds and are within easy reach of the town centre and all of its amenities.

There is a regular bus service into town, with the bus stopping immediately outside the entrance.

Activities Programme

Four Activities staff provide a varied programme for residents. We provide weekly shopping trips to the supermarket as well as a range of trips out e.g. McLaren Falls and The Kaimai Café, Kwan Chow and Grumpy’s Gallery, Operatunity etc. There is always plenty to do at Melrose.

What’s Near By

Melrose has easy access to the town centre and our famous beaches. Tauranga and Mount Maunganui have a wide range of world class facilities, including shopping centres, restaurants and cafes, fantastic hot pools and a wide range of sports and cultural facilities. Tauranga Central is only 4 minutes drive away and Brookfield is less than a kilometre from Melrose.

A regular and frequent bus service stops outside Melrose and is free for gold card holders. Visiting family & friends have the choice of a variety of local motels - some of which are within walking distance.
