Palmerston Manor Care

Our Care Offering

Palmerston Manor is situated on the outskirts of Palmerston North in the suburb of Takaro. The local shopping centre, which is within close walking distance, has a pharmacy, bakery and dairy as well as a fast food outlet. There’s a bus stop at the front gate.

The facility is all on one level, making it easy for residents to enjoy walking around the rose garden and the sheltered courtyard. The courtyard is accessed from the dining room as well as the large lounge, which makes for a delightful indoor-outdoor flow in the summer months and the opportunity for barbecues.

Residents often choose to retain their family doctor (GP) and this is encouraged, although we are able to access a GP when required.

Activities Programme

At Palmerston Manor, we believe looking after your happiness is just as important as looking after your health. • I would like to say a huge thanks to the hospital wing caregivers who gave their 100% and those who went the extra mile. Thank you! And where would we be without the greatest team of nurses. Please accept our thanks as a family for the endless cups of tea, food and hugs. - Daughter of resident

  • "Two of my adult children are in the medical field and the caring professionalism of the staff was noticed immediately.
