Eversley Retirement Village
Our Village Living Offering
One of Oceania’s smallest Villages, with just six villas, where residents have a close relationship with the care home. The Village is situated beside Cornwall Park, Mahora, and is built at the rear of the Care Home, separated by well-maintained beautiful grounds. The Care Facility is a well-known landmark in Hastings with its gracious old charm and chandeliers.
Villa Residents are invited to many of our events including special mid winter celebrations. Diversional Therapist, Sue Staples provides a copy of the Activities Program on the Village notice board (open to all residents) and other events are by special invitation.
What’s Near By
Situated in a quiet Hastings suburb surrounded by established older homes, the small village enjoys the beautiful Cornwall Park, well known for its cricket pitch and clubrooms. The park has stunning gardens, bird aviaries and a children’s play area. Mayfair shopping center is just two blocks away where there is a Pharmacy, Bakery, two mini Superettes, hairdresser and beauty therapist. Hastings City Center is just a few blocks away.
The villas are well maintained and refurbished between occupants. A mixture of one and two bedroom villas, each with a different layout makes them individual. The modern kitchens and bathrooms are a feature in every Villa. Each has its own garden area as well as the large shared lawn. There are three garages; one available for storage or car parking. There are Care staff on site around the clock.
The Village shares the care facility amenities. There are several sheltered courtyards where residents can enjoy the Hawkes Bay sun. And there’s a spacious lawn separating the Villas from the home.
The supportive neighborhood keeps a friendly eye out for one another. Being a small village we don't have many "rules". We just try to provide all the support and care our residents want, at the same time as giving them all the independence they need.
