Redwood Village

Nestled amongst lush award-winning gardens, Redwood is a cosy and perfectly sized village in New Zealand’s sunny Marlborough district. A spacious village with wide green areas and room to breathe, you feel part of a close-knit community whilst maintaining that important sense of privacy.

Our Village Offering

Redwood offers the opportunity to retire in a comfortable and affordable villa. Whether you like to entertain, or simply enjoy your own space, you’ll love the relaxed feel and open-plan living at Redwood. We have a choice of two-bedroom villas depending on your individual needs and budget. Many of our villas feature an internal access garage and/or conservatory, and all have a heat pump, smoke alarms and emergency call bells.

Active Village Life

Our residents are active in the community – enjoying social activities at local clubs and societies. Redwood has easy access to public transport and is just a few minutes’ drive to the Redwoodtown shops, so it’s a breeze to get out and about to catch up with friends and family. Or if you don’t feel like venturing very far, our active social committee means there is plenty to do right on your doorstep. Enjoy a visiting speaker, relax in the indoor swimming pool, or join your neighbours for regular activities and themed events in the community centre.

Carefree Independence

Live life the way you want to, with the freedom to do the things you love. We’ll take care of all the maintenance - building repairs, exterior cleaning and the gardening too. Knowing the weekly fee is fixed for life means you can budget and have financial surety for the future.

A Continuum of Care

For assistance in an emergency, call bells in your villa will connect you to trained staff 24 hours a day. If your needs change, Redwood has Rest Home and Hospital care available onsite, with a choice of rooms including Care Suites featuring a full ensuite, kitchenette and patio. You can be sure you’re in good hands. Oceania has won the Supreme Care Award from the NZ Aged Care Association 3 years in a row.

The location is excellent and the village has property to suit everyone's budget." - Bessie Salmons, Oceania Resident

  • "I really welcomed the newsletters and the meetings with the Registered Nurse to set Mum’s care plan in place." - Daughter of Oceania resident

  • "The friendly environment is very comforting. I value my own space, which I have at the village, but there is also always a resident to have a cuppa and a chat with when needed." - Elizabeth Head, Oceania Resident

  • "The advantage of having rest home and hospital care (on site) played a huge part in our buying." - Ley Quennell, Oceania resident

  • "I am surrounded by lovely gardens and friends and neighbours. It is a great comfort, you never need to feel alone and I know I only have to press a bell if I need help." - Mary Harris Oceania Resident

  • "On the first day several residents popped in with muffins or small bunches of flowers to make sure Mum felt welcome. It was not long before she knew someone who knew someone and indeed knew some of the residents directly. It was a big move for Mum and she has settled really well thanks to the team." - Son of Oceania resident

  • "To me, the security and peace of mind are very comforting. Also, my husband lives in the hospital so I can spend as much time as I want with him. The newly refurbished community centre is becoming the hub of the village." - Val Payne, Oceania Resident
