The Oaks Retirement Village

Framed by the stunning oak trees that give this village its name, The Oaks is a little community with a big heart. With cosy villas set amongst award-winning gardens, The Oaks offers the best of both worlds - independence and privacy with peace of mind knowing friendly neighbours and staff are close by.

Our Village Offering

The Oaks offers the opportunity to retire in a comfortable and affordable villa. Whether you enjoy peace and quiet, or entertaining family and visitors, the villas are open-plan and designed for easy living. Most have garages at no extra cost, and you’ll be warm all winter with a heat pump and double glazing.

Active Village Life

Many of our residents are active in the local community – enjoying social activities at clubs and societies like they’ve always done. The Oaks is handy to shops and public transport, which makes getting out and about a breeze. Or if you don’t feel like venturing very far, there is plenty to do right on your doorstep. Cross the road for a barista coffee at the library café, keep fit and flexible with regular exercise classes, or join your neighbours for a scrumptious morning tea in the community centre.

Carefree Independence

Live life the way you want to, with the freedom to do the things you love. We’ll take care of all the maintenance - building repairs, exterior cleaning and the gardening too. Don’t feel like cooking? Order a meal from our onsite chef and get it delivered right to your door. Knowing the weekly fee is fixed for life guaranteed means you can budget and have financial surety for the future.

A Continuum of Care

For assistance in an emergency, call bells in your apartment will connect you to trained staff 24 hours a day. If your needs change, The Oaks has Rest Home and Hospital care available onsite, with a choice of rooms including luxury Care Suites. You can be sure you’re in good hands. Oceania has won the Supreme Care Award from the NZ Aged Care Association 3 years in a row.

Minimum age of entry  for residents is 70 years.
