Our Village Offering

Brand-new beachfront retirement villas available - view now.

Take advantage of the opportunity to retire in a brand-new, comfortable and affordable villa. Whether you like to entertain, or simply enjoy your own space, you’ll love the relaxed feel and open-plan living at Whitianga.

Each two-bedroom villa features a modern kitchen, spacious bathroom with easy-access shower, generous storage space and internal access garaging. Enjoy the summer sun out on the patio or stay cool inside with a heat pump/air conditioning. All the connections for SKY TV, phone lines and internet are installed ready to use as well as smoke alarms.

Active Village Life

With the beach at your doorstep, simply cross the road for a walk along the shore or for a paddle with the grandkids. The town centre is just a few minutes’ drive away so it’s a breeze to catch up with friends or family for coffee, browse the shops or top up supplies at the supermarket.

Also close by is The Lost Springs Spa, perfect for a relaxing soak in the hot pools or soothing massage. At Whitianga it’s easy to make the most of the beautiful Coromandel region, get the ferry to iconic Cathedral Cove, or drive to popular Cooks or Hot Water beach. There are many active community groups in the area including the Lion’s Club, Senior Citizens, RSA and several sports clubs.

Carefree Independence

Live life the way you want to, with the freedom to do the things you love. We’ll take care of all the maintenance - building repairs, exterior cleaning and the gardening too. Knowing the weekly fee is fixed for life means you can budget and have financial surety for the future.

A Continuum of Care

For assistance in an emergency, call bells in your villa will connect you to trained staff 24 hours a day. If your needs change, Whitianga has Rest Home and Hospital care available onsite.

We’ve earned an enviable reputation in aged care and continue to be industry leaders winning the Aged Care Association Supreme Award consecutively for 3 years, and the top award for Food and Innovation in 2018.

  • "I wish I had moved to the village much sooner than I did because the companionship is here when needed. The activity program has grown from strength to strength over the last two years. The location is excellent and the village has property to suit everyone's budget." - Bessie Salmons, Oceania Resident

  • "I really welcomed the newsletters and the meetings with the Registered Nurse to set Mum’s care plan in place." - Daughter of Oceania resident

  • "The friendly environment is very comforting. I value my own space, which I have at the village, but there is also always a resident to have a cuppa and a chat with when needed." - Elizabeth Head, Oceania Resident

  • "The advantage of having rest home and hospital care (on site) played a huge part in our buying." - Ley Quennell, Oceania resident

  • "I am surrounded by lovely gardens and friends and neighbours. It is a great comfort, you never need to feel alone and I know I only have to press a bell if I need help." - Mary Harris Oceania Resident

  • "On the first day several residents popped in with muffins or small bunches of flowers to make sure Mum felt welcome. It was not long before she knew someone who knew someone and indeed knew some of the residents directly. It was a big move for Mum and she has settled really well thanks to the team." - Son of Oceania resident

  • "To me, the security and peace of mind are very comforting. Also, my husband lives in the hospital so I can spend as much time as I want with him. The newly refurbished community centre is becoming the hub of the village." - Val Payne, Oceania Resident
