Addington Gardens Care

Our Care Offering

Addington Gardens is known for being a ‘home away from home’, with its warm, welcoming feel and spacious rooms and lounges. There's always something exciting going on in the main lounges for those who enjoy socialising, as well as plenty of peaceful, cosy nooks where you can relax with a good book.

At Addington Gardens, we offer a range of Premium Rooms including Care Suites, which means no matter your needs or budget, there are plenty of options.

Care Suites are designed to give you more flexibility, plus that little bit of luxury you deserve. Both Rest Home and Hospital care can be provided in your Care Suite, which means you can relax knowing you won’t have the upheaval of moving again if your needs increase.

Your Care Suite is designed to be your forever home, so you’ll be able to stay in the same familiar place, with your friends around you and the staff who know you best caring for you. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A DHB assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

All Care Suites have a heat pump and full en-suite, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit.

Activities Programme

Hop in the village van for a jaunt, you'll never know where it will take you next. Ice cream at Sumner Beach or off to Lyttelton Harbour to soak in the scenery - there's an exciting new destination each week. Or if it's music you're into, enjoy your own personalised playlist with our award-winning I Love Music programme.

Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings… there’s a reason why the dining room is full before dinner! All of the above are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty family favourites you’d make at home. You’ll be sure to be up for second helpings!

Award-Winning Care

Great care is what we do and we’ve got the accolades to prove it. Oceania’s won multiple supreme awards from the New Zealand Aged Care Association, so you can be sure you’re in good hands. When it comes to your care, you know what you like and don’t like - and we want to know too. Because everyone is different all of our residents get a personalised care plan, so from meals to medications, everything that’s important to you is covered.
