Lady Allum Care

Our Care Offering

Known for its popular shops, cafés and beaches, Milford also has a great reputation for care - delivered in the heart of the Shore at Lady Allum. A treasure of the local community, Lady Allum is a place where residents and their families can feel at home, and rely on staff for a kind and thoughtful approach. Whether you enjoy socialising or quiet time, how you spend your day is up to you.  Find a friend and join in the day’s events in the main lounges or relax in one of our many cosy nooks.

At Lady Allum, we offer a range of Premium Rooms including Care Suites, which means no matter your needs or budget, there are plenty of options.

Care Suites are designed to give you more flexibility, plus that little bit of luxury you deserve. Both Rest Home and Hospital care can be provided in your Care Suite, which means you can relax knowing you won’t have the upheaval of moving again if your needs increase.
Your Care Suite is designed to be your forever home, so you’ll be able to stay in the same familiar place, with your friends around you and the staff who know you best caring for you. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A DHB assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.

All Care Suites have a heat pump and full en-suite, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit.

Hop in the village van for a jaunt, you’ll never know where it will take you next. Hot chips on the on the beach, or off to the Winter Gardens at the Domain, there’s an exciting destination each week. If you fancy a trip without going far, try our award-winning virtual reality experience where you can be transported around the world in the comfort of your favourite chair. Or if it’s music you’re into, enjoy your own personalised playlist with I Love Music. Furry friends, Spring Flings, visits from Plunket babies and theme days, there’s something for everyone no matter what you’re interested in.

Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings… there’s a reason why the dining room is full before dinner! All of the above are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty family favourites you’d make at home. You’ll be sure to be up for second helpings!

Award-Winning Care

Great care is what we do and we’ve got the accolades to prove it. Oceania’s won the supreme award from the New Zealand Aged Care Association 3 years in a row, so you can be sure you’re in good hands. When it comes to your care, you know what you like and don’t like - and we want to know too. Because everyone is different all our residents get a personalised care plan. From meals to medications, everything that’s important to you is covered.

  • "The staff I had most contact with were Diane, Lorraine and Mia. They have been just fantastic, but I realise that everyone has contributed to Mum’s overall care. • "The wonderful feeling of safety cannot be underestimated. The ability to join any activity, watch or abstain gives a great sense of freedom.
