Many of our residents are active in the local community – enjoying social activities at clubs and societies like they’ve always done. Woodlands is ideally located minutes from the town centre and Coastal highway, which makes getting to shops or visiting friends and family a breeze. Or if you don’t feel like venturing very far, there is plenty to do right on your doorstep. Explore Thorps’ bush popular walking a cycling tracks, join our weekly exercise classes, or socialise with neighbours for delicious lunches or Happy Hour.

 

Carefree Independence

Live life the way you want to, with the freedom to do the things you love - but with someone else looking after the maintenance. Sit back and relax while we look after building repairs, exterior cleaning and the lawns too. Don’t feel like cooking? Order a delicious meal prepared at our onsite kitchen. If you ever need assistance in an emergency, call bells in your villa will connect you to trained staff 24 hours a day.

 

A Continuum of Care

If your needs change, Woodlands has a Rest Home, Hospital and Dementia care facility onsite with a choice of standard rooms or spacious Care Suites. You can be sure you’re in good hands. Oceania has won the Supreme Care Award from the NZ Aged Care Association 3 consecutive years in a row.

 

Minimum age of entry  for residents is 70 years.

    Leila Puata-Coppins

    Village Manager

    Born in Motueka, Leila is a Registered Nurse with a wealth of experience. She worked at what was the Motueka Community Hospital for over 15 years, and after that, several years at another Aged Care facility. She enjoys the challenges of working with the elderly and getting to know not just the residents, but their families too. Leila has 2 children who are at school and University. She has a small farm with sheep, chickens, horses, and pigs. When not at work Leila enjoys walks, hikes and biking as well as tending to her animals.
